After 27 Year Of Marriage, I discovered My Husband Was Cheating On Me With His 29 Year Old Secretary

I didn’t expose him the way people probably think.

Honestly, by the time I got on that stage, I was too tired to scream.

I just tapped the microphone and thanked everybody for supporting my husband’s company over the years. Michael kept smiling at first because he thought I was there to play the supportive wife one more time.

Then I asked the bartender to bring me the champagne tab from the last six months.

The room got quiet fast.

I’d spent twenty-three years doing bookkeeping for Michael before he said he wanted to “keep work and marriage separate.” Turns out he forgot I still recognized half the expense account charges.

Weekend resorts. Jewelry stores. Spa packages billed during “client travel.” Thousands of dollars.

Not hidden very well either.

His secretary looked like she wanted the floor to swallow her whole. But the part nobody there knew was that half the employees at those tables hadn’t gotten their bonuses that year because Michael kept claiming the company was struggling.

One older salesman actually stood up and asked if that was true.

Michael tried grabbing the microphone from me, but I handed it straight to the company owner instead along with copies of the statements I printed before leaving home.

I didn’t stay for the fallout.

But two weeks later, Michael came home in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon carrying a cardboard box with his office plant shoved beside his coffee mug.
